Saturday Feature: TrinketsNWhatnots...*

Hello everyone, this week's feature is an Etsy shop called TrinketsNWhatnots.  This shop is a beautiful shop by an amazing seller and friend, Janet.  This shop offers unique handcrafted jewelery made with pearls, swarovski crystals, clay and vintage glass buttons.

1)Tell me a little bit about yourself and your shop.

I started making jewelry in 2005, which is when I left the Navy. I was looking for a hobby to help fill my time, and since I love jewelry I decided to try it. What woman doesn't love some jewelry? I am a person that likes to research things, so I google everything there was to know about making handmade jewelry. If I was going to make jewelry it had to be unique, and I was intrigued by wire work. My shop has evolved and is still evolving but I strive for unique, pearl, Swarovski crystal and button jewelry. Those are my favorite materials.

 2)What makes your shop unique?
My shop has unique materials and designs that I think help it stand out from other jewelry shops. For instance, I make button rings... but I try to find vintage buttons that are not common to use in those designs.

3)Why would people love your shop?
My shop is vintage inspired, unique, feminine, sparkly, sophisticated, artisan jewelry. I think if you like to feel special, have a piece that will make a statement but not too much of a statement you will love my shop.

4)What’s your favorite item from your shop?

I love my rings. But my favorite piece is this 3 strand pearl necklace with a shell flower clasp.

5)Anything new coming soon for your shop?
I DO have a new line of Swarovski jewelry coming. I want to have matching pendant necklaces and earrings to go with my rings. You can see a sneak preview of them here on my flickr account:

I absolutely love this shop, and my favorite are the vintage button rings. I own one and I loveee it!!.. and I have my eye on some more. I have to say that my personal favorite currently on the shop is this one.

Featuring Friday: Subtle and Chic...*

Today's feature is this lovely shop from Pittsburgh. Subtle and Chic is all about Jewelry for the Fashionable and Savy.

Here are the questions:

1)Describe your shop in just a few sentences:
This shop is an attempt at making quality pieces of jewelry for an affordable price. I buy gemstones and anything of quality that I think will make something beautiful and special for others. The shop itself is for stylish people without hurting the wallet!

2)What made you start your Etsy shop?
I originally started with www.teener1416.etsy.com making etched eggs. This shop was a spin off to show others they can have great jewelry without the large cost. I also wanted another hobby and jewelry filled that gap.

3)What is your favorite item from your shop?
I love scottish moss... though my boyfriend made them so I can't take the credit. He has a great eye for unique looks.

4)Is there an item you feel has a sentimental value?
All items I make have sentimental value to me because I make most items while spending the night relaxing and creating with rob my boyfriend... though we tend to compete at whose earrings will sell first... his did :(

5)Any new ideas coming soon for your shop?
I'm getting into rings and necklaces! Also I started a third shop for cards and tags with a vintage and eclectic feel www.allthingseclectic.etsy.com

What a great shop isn't it??..
My personal favorites from this shop are these lovely earrings, and I love their name!

If you would like to contact Subtle and Chic here are her links!

She offers Free US Shipping on all her earrings!!

So hurry up and shop!! Perfect for Early Christmas Shopping with lots of great prices!

Freedom...*

Are we ever truly free? Is there a point in our lives when we don't have to depend on something or someone else?..

I have always think that human beings are dependent of something or someone in every second of their lives.. so that means we are never free. At least not completely free. That means we are always attached to something/someone.

Or am i mistaking the meaning of freedom?
Maybe freedom is achieved with another human being..

Maybe freedom is a state of mind mixed with happiness.
But what do I know?
